Bio

Bennett enters her second year as the Assistant Women's Water Polo Coach and first year as the Assistant Men's Water Polo Coach at Miramar College in 2024. In her first year as Assistant Women's Water Polo Coach in 2023, she trained our goalie Rylie Hage who earned 1st Team All-American and 1st Team All-PCAC accolades, and helped lead the Jets to their first conference championship title in program history. 

Bennett is a goalkeeper from La Jolla, CA, and contributes over 10 years of competitive water polo playing and coaching experience to Miramar College. She graduated from La Jolla High School in 2017, where she was a varsity swimmer and water polo player. Bennett went on to play water polo at UC San Diego, leading the team to two WWPA championship titles, two semifinal finishes in the Big West conference and a quarterfinal finish in NCAAs in 2019. 

Bennett graduated from UCSD in 2021 with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology. She played her final year of collegiate water polo as a graduate student, pursuing a master's degree in public health while also serving as team captain. She finished her collegiate career with 814 saves and ranks third in UCSD program history. Bennett completed her MPH in the spring of 2023 and currently works in the mental health field, while also coaching goalies at La Jolla United Water Polo Club.
