MBB Student-Athletes earn scholarships last week!

Wednesdays April 12, San Diego Miramar College held it's 29th Annual Scholarship Ceremony for all students. 

Our athletic department was represented by two of our student-athletes from our Men's Basketball program.

Jakob Milling was awarded the AFT Larry Schwartz Memorial Scholarship!

"The AFT Larry Schwartz fund was established by the faculty members of American Federations of Teachers of the San Diego Community College District to honor the memory and contributions to education and the union to Larry Schwartz (1932-1995): history professor, labor organizer, a founder and long-time president of the AFT and political activist. It is awarded to members, former members, or children of members of a union who are pursuing their education."

Michael Batchelor was awarded the Cal Coast Credit Union Scholarship!

"The Cal Coast Credit Union has been serving the educational community for over 90 years, including the San Diego Community College District. Through their generosity, four high achieving students at Miramar College are awarded this scholarship each year."
