Coach Baye Hatcher began swimming competitively at an early age and continued through college, competing at the NCAA II level for Lindenwood University. As a senior in college, Baye was an assistant swim coach for the Clayton Shaw Park Tideriders and the Recreation Therapist Intern for the Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA), where she led private and group swim lessons to children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Post graduation and moving to California, she was the Lead Age Group Coach for Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team (RSD) for 2 years.

Now, Coach Baye enters her first year with Miramar College Swim Team! Aside from the Jets, Baye continues coaching for RSD and is also certified as an Infant Swimming Resource Instructor teaching babies and young children how to swim, float, and self-rescue in the pool.
