Women's Volleyball to host first home match of the season!
Women's Volleyball is looking forward to a couple highlights this week!
This week is the start of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play for our Jets as well as their FIRST home match under new Head Coach Nancy Ros!
We were able to chat with her regarding her preparations for the week!
Q: Now that we have played a couple games as a unit and getting those first game jitters out - how are you and the team feeling about hosting your first home match?
A: The team is definitely hyped about our first home match tomorrow. I think being at home might add a different set of jitters to start but it was nice to get a few kinks out of the way last week.
Q: How have you prepared the team going into this week's match ups?
A: We continue to work on our serve and pass game as it is evident that most of our success relies on those skills. We have had a couple of injuries the last couple of weeks so we have also been working on a few different line ups leading up to tomorrow's match.
Q: How do you feel you match up against San Diego City?
A: It should be a equitable match up vs city. They beat Santiago in 4 which gives us an idea of their level of play. Their coach is also new and an old friend of mine so that adds another element of fun.
Q: What are the team's goals for this game - as it is also the first PCAC Conference match for you as well?
A: This will by our and my first PCAC match so excited to get off positively in conference play!
Jets will host San Diego City Wednesday Sept 21 for a 5pm match!
Let's pack the gym and cheer on our Jets!
