Women's Volleyball looks ahead at First Match Friday!
September 7, 2022
There is a sense of excitement in the air around Miramar Women's Volleyball this week!
With the recent addition of our New Women's Indoor and Beach Head Coach, Nancy Ros - we can't wait to see how our team has transformed!
We recently caught up with Coach Ros about her debut as the Jets Head Coach and their first game - here is what she said!
Q: Coach, what is your general feeling/preparation towards your first game as the Women's Head Coach at San Diego Miramar College?
A: "Coming into our first match, there is a sense of excitement and anticipation for certain. I am eager to see how everything translates onto the floor in a real match."
Q: How does the team look going into the week of preparations? Do we have a strategy or focus on any strong returning opposing team players who need containment?
A: "The first match is against a non-conference team so we have not looked too deep into their line up. Also, with a completely new, raw team, our focus is on our side of the net. Serving and passing are always a big focus into our preparation."
Q: What are the team goals for their first match of the season?
A: "The goal of this first match is to get some first match jitters out of the way, learn our flow as far as pregame prep, and be consistent in our serve and pass game."
We wish Coach Ros and our Jets good luck as they continue to prepare.
They travel to Mt. Jan Jacinto College for a 5pm match Friday September 9th!
