Born and raised in San Diego, Coach Van Norman has a lifetime of experience playing water polo at a variety of levels. He was a 4x All American in High School while playing for USDHS (Cathedral Catholic). In college he played at USC under legendary head coach JovanVavic, earning Freshman of the year in 2004. Representing the USA, he won a gold medal at the 2004 Pan American Games in El Salvador. After college he played internationally for SV Poseidon (Hamburg,Germany) as well as Botafogode Futebol e Regatas (Riode Janiero, Brazil). In addition to coaching water polo, Coach Van Norman is passionate about-adapted physical education and has previously taught Adapted Swimming and Adapted Body Conditioning at Santa Rosa Junior College.
