Men's Water Polo Defeats Mesa College in final match up!
Late Monday afternoon, our Men's Water Polo team traveled to San Diego Mesa College for their final Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match of the season. Their first match up was a close game but our Jets ended up taking a loss 13-14. Their next scheduled match was in the South of the Border Tournament but due to weather, had to be cancelled. In their final meeting yesterday, the entire game was neck and neck. Eventually the Jets fell behind with a 4 goal deficit and fought their way back to win at the last .01 second. Head Coach Arman Momdzhyan commented, "I thought the boys had a tremendous effort in what seemed to be a very physical and back and fourth game. Battling back from a 4-goal deficit is no easy task and boys fought hard through that last second and showed tremendous adversity. Sam Lawrence was dominant, tallying 6 goals while Carson Miller and Sam Collins netted hat tricks. Goalie Maverick Mitchell scored the game winning goal with: 01 second on the game clock." We are all proud of our Jets!
Great way to close an amazing season! The Jets will move into the PCAC Conference Championships this weekend with a 13-10 overall record and a 6-4 standing in the PCAC conference!
