Miramar's women's water polo team logged one win in its four tournament matches, in the San Diego Women's Water Polo Classic, co-hosted by Miramar and Mesa Colleges.
Friday's play saw the Lady Jets split their two matches, losing 11-3 to Chaffey before rebounding with a 7-3 win over Citrus. Natalie McCann totaled 5 goals on the day, Alicia Foresman tallied 6 steals and 3 assists, Rachel Meserve added 3 goals, 4 assists, and 10 steals, and Darci Self racked up 12 saves on the day. Saturday saw Miramar drop both of its matches, 13-10 to Delta and 13-8 to Palomar. McCann added 7 goals, 4 assists, and 4 steals to her Friday work, Meserve logged 6 goals, 1 assist, and 3 steals, Self tallied 11 saves, and Ali Hunt had 3 goals and 5 steals on the day.
Miramar WWP next takes on SD Mesa at the Olympians' pool, Wednesday Oct. 8th at 2:00pm.
