Miramar "Jets" women soccer team traveled to Mt. San Jacinto to play their first conference game of the season. It was raining all afternoon. Some would say perfect soccer weather.

The first minutes of the game was establishing a rhythm with the Jets gaining the upper hand in the 24th minute Nicole Alvarado found herself free from her defender and going to goal with the ball at her feet. She calmly finished her shot in to the goal. It was 10 minutes later and again Nicole found space with the ball and again finished her shot past the goalkeeper. Halftime came with Miramar leading 2-0.

The second half started well for the Jets. A foul was called for the Jets and Sashia Alvarez stepped up to take the kick. It was 35 yards away from the goal but Sashia had her eyes on scoring and she did with a laser beam of a shot right over the keeper into the upper corner. The Jets were moving the ball around very well and Annalise "Aussie" Siegel received the ball at the top of the penalty box with her back to goal. She heard her teammate Valentina Cvrk calling for the ball. Aussie played the ball back to Val who hit the ball past the keeper for goal number four. In the closing minutes of the game Aussie had the ball turned her defender took a touch toward goal as the keeper rushed out to block the shot Aussie hit the ball in to the far post.

The final whistle blew. The final score was Miramar 5 and MSJC 0.
