Miramar MVB falls again to SD City 3-1
Mar 31, 2015

The second matchup of the season between local PCAC rivals Miramar and San Diego City would end the same way as the first, with the Jets falling 3-1 (11-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-22) at City's Harry West Gymnasium.

A strong opening effort by Miramar MVB resulted in a set one win for the Jets. A more focused Knights squad took to the floor in game two, and parlayed better play with Jets errors to win the last three sets and sweep the season series.

OH's Caleb Deibel and Levi Vermeulen and OPP Zach Wissing led the way offensively for Miramar with 12, 11, and 10 kills respectively. Wissing added 13 digs and L Zoheb Khaliqi 9 digs, while S Noly Mon Jr. totaled 38 assists on the night.

The Jets will take the remainder of the Spring Break week off, before returning to the gym to close out Miramar's inaugural men's volleyball season, with matches at SD Mesa Wednesday, April 8, and home against Palomar on Friday, April 10.
