Director of Athletics and Head Coach of the Men's Basketball team, Nick Gehler, is pleased to announce that for the first time in school history one of our own, Blake Seits, has won the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Male Student-Athlete of the Year!
Seits will have completed 77 total units at the end of the 2019 spring semester. Blake holds a 3.99 GPA with 72 units completed and is on track to earn an Associates Degree in Business Administration. As a student-athlete, grades have always come first. Blake is also a tremendous athlete and a member of the Men's Basketball team. As a freshman, Blake averaged 11 points per game and was an All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference selection. As a sophomore, Blake averaged 17.8 points per game, was named Most Valuable Player, and was named to several all-tournament teams this year. Mr. Seits earned First-Team All-PCAC Honors for his efforts and was a key contributor for the JETS and their back-to-back CCCAA state playoff appearances. Blake has accepted a full athletic scholarship to California State University, San Marcos where he will pursue a bachelor's degree in business administration. Blake has had and continues to hold a position at In-N-Out Burger where he logs 20 hours a week.
Blake will now nominated for the California Community College Male Scholar Athlete of the Year to be awarded this coming fall.
Congratulations Blake! We are so proud of you!
